St.Petersburg, Russia – April, 28,2011 – Nevosoft, a top Russian casual game developer, announced the release of their game Dream Sleuth for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Dream Sleuth is a hidden object game with the puzzles and original mini-games.

You play from the perspective of a girl who is solving a mystery, with the help of some surreal psychic dreams. The story is one of the game’s great assets and it has plenty of twists and suspense. The characters are represented with  animated images of actual people. The great voice-over turns this game into an interactive cartoon or a movie where you have the main role. You need to find out who kidnapped a little girl - that's what you are going to investigate - you'll have to solve lots of puzzles and find all sorts of different objects.

Many objects and locations in the rooms can be manipulated to uncover other items, like by opening closet doors to reveal the contents inside. The hidden object tasks vary, and besides you are rarely asked to find more than a couple items at a time. The imagery here is rich and the high resolution makes it very easy to actually find the objects even on an iPhone screen.

Dream Sleuth is a thrilling hidden object game, where suspiciously real psychic dreams fit perfectly with good old detective work.

The plot is one of the game's great strengths, it's full of unexpected twists and puzzles: a young girl disappears in a small town, and official investigation doesn't seem to have any results. Your grandma, former investigative reporter, could help local authorities to find the girl, but she feels like she's too old for the just and opts to share you good advise with you instead. Being a responsible citizen, you decide to try and solve that case!

Properly speaking, Dream Sleuth is not just another hidden object game, it's a cross between classical hidden object game, logical puzzles and good mind-twisting adventure. Most of the mini games require you to do more than just to find an object. For example, when you are asked to find a battery for the electronic watch, you'll need to manipulate random items. First you'll need to move some books to uncover the battery, then you have to find and assemble the various parts of a battery charger to finally charge the battery. Actually, Dream Sleuth requires more logical skills and attention than you expect from typical HO game. As for the difficulty level, it well balanced and gets more complicated up step by step, and at the final chapters you may face a good, difficult challenge. At the beginning the game seems too simple: the objects that you need to manipulate are sparkling as you move your mouse over. It even seems that the game plays itself, but starting with the second chapter you'll need to think harder and at the third - well get ready for a real brain-teasers! In addition to the plot, the game has another great advantage: the creativity and variety of the mini-games. Some may seem quite easy, but most of them are brain-teasing. A piece of paper and a pencil may really help you! The first mini-game you meet is the piano puzzle. You'll have to play a piano, but instead of musical score you get a color scheme. Further on you'll meet matching games, jigsaw puzzles, slider puzzles, classification games and other games that are very hard to classify. I'd like to pay tribute to the mini game that has you repairing spaceship's electronics and cracking the password of the secretary's computer.

Unfortunately, logic is not another strong side of the game. For example. when you need to figure out the name of the missing girl, you are asked to find a piano. Why a piano? Because the name of the girl is written on it. Well, maybe the girl was naughty and she scratched her name on it) That's a little bit confusing at first, but at least, but the tasks make you forget about it. The artwork in the game is done in photorealism, and it looks a bit old school and odd sometimes, but the great musical atmosphere more than makes up for it. The characters are represented with images of the real people with minimal animation: they only move their mouths and their eyes blink while they talk. There are 18 different chapters in the game, and each has it's own location, so you won't get bored of the same backgrounds. The gameplay is about 3-4 hours long. 

Conclusion: surely, Dream Sleuth is not an innovative or long-awaited game, but it's really thrilling. So, take your time and solve this surreal case and save the girl!

The main hero had powerful dreams like this, and she clues to the whereabouts of a kidnapped girl, who vanished without a trace. It’s up to you start your own investigation, gathering clues, questioning witnesses, and recognize the difference between facts from rumors. But that’s not all: You’ll have to learn how to “catch” other people’s dreams in order to get all the information that you’ll need. 
For the most part gameplay centers around searching for hidden objects, however it’s also peppered with puzzles and original mini-games like playing on a piano, guessing passwords, remembering sequences, and comparing dreams with reality. Original music, beautiful graphics, and a professional voice over help take you deeper into the mysterious atmosphere of a small town.
